Cobweb

Alath-Cad is an old traditional Kodava bungalow. Kodavas have a innovative way of bringing natural light into their rooms. Their dwellings are mostly in a square shape with tiled roofs. They would replace several tiles with a big glass in a room so that sunlight can stream in straight into it. I wonder how they made the roof water tight, but then again should not be too difficult on second thoughts. Anyway, the room we stayed in Alath-Cad had this glass opening in it's roof. In the name of eco-tourism, there is not much upkeep of the place, which resulted in this cobweb to grow right by the glass opening. The morning diffused light made it look all the more surreal.
